Heat-resistant structural parts & films

If you build structural parts or films that must hold shape and interfaces under heat, this note is written from product acceptance—not a heat-resistant materials catalog.

Who this is for

For: high-temperature structural parts, dual support/insulation films, and parts that must hold dimension after heat.

The gates your product must pass

Product acceptance for heat-resistant parts is rarely one temperature number: dimensional drift after heat and cycling, permanent set under load, delamination at metal or inorganic joints. If you are writing those acceptances, this alignment is more useful: define temperature–time–load first, then material paths.

Temperature window vs dimension and interface

In product language, “heat resistance” often means dimensional stability and interface life. When PI is discussed, bring your temperature window, cycling assumptions, and the riskiest interface. Once those are verifiable items, molecular design, modification, or film can be trimmed; full formulations and process windows stay off the public site.

Also need clarity / less yellow? Add CPI

If the product is a window, see-through cover, or a heat-resistant structure that should stay observable inside, CPI (colorless PI) can enter the same talk: lower yellowing and higher transmission on a PI backbone. Reserved development direction—not mass-produced optical parts or a transmission table.

What to do once this matches

Structure topics may lean design and modification; film topics often lean film formation and defect control; processable forms can reference 3D-printable PI particles. Bring temperature window and acceptance items via Partner or Contact.
